This was just ... I want to, like ... I'm just gonna sit and stammer for a while first.
Okay, there is SO MUCH AWESOME in this story. I don't even know where to begin with comments. I think your characterizations (of everyone!) are flawless, impeccable, and hilarious. You write amazing dialogue and just amazing everything, and I know I'm going to go back and reread this a few dozen times just to revel in how perfect it is. Fan-fucking-tastic. About halfway through, I opened up a text file to do the "highlight my favorite parts" thing:
Jimmy was a cuddler, and as soon as Chazz released that inner cuddling demon, Chazz would be trapped in a soul crushing cage of limbs for all of eternity.
HEE! And then you kept the cage of limbs thing going throughout the story, which was fabulous.
"You know what?" Chazz continued. "I could live with Coach again and not have to wear pants ever."
"No," Coach called. "You couldn't."
I think my favorite thing about this movie is all the goofy-yet-serious arguments, and this just encapsulates that whole thing perfectly. (And Coach! Eee!)
Jimmy had apparently been brainstorming, and somewhere in his cotton candy filled head had decided that the way to get over the sexy figure skating thing was to rehearse the sexy parts over and over again until all of the sexiness was drained out of them.
LOL JIMMY'S HEAD IS SO FILLED WITH COTTON CANDY :D
And the scene with Chazz trying to talk about anal sex with Jesse -- I was crying with laughter.
"You know, I'm probably going to screw this up," Chazz said. It was only fair to warn Jimmy. Chazz wanted it, but he knew himself, and he knew how things would eventually go.
"I know," Jimmy said, and gripped Chazz a little tighter.
It was good enough for him.
And then you wrap it up with an ending that's both comforting and realistic -- because yeah, Chazz is probably going to screw it up, but hey, they're at least going to give it a shot, and maybe when Chazz inevitably screws it up, Jimmy will have learned to improvise and ... well, who knows.
